In November 2023, Quetzaltenango brought together more than 25 international leaders from the MBA Acelera network to exchange practices and foster innovation in the education of small business owners, highlighting the importance of adaptive education and social leadership.
Last November, more than 25 representatives from entities promoting MBA Acelera and Business Schools for micro-enterprises participated in the MBA Acelera Network International Seminar. For one week, in the city of Quetzaltenango, participants from Belgium, Guatemala, Colombia, El Salvador, Uruguay, Spain, and Finland shared their knowledge and insights to improve the implementation of MBA Acelera and Business Schools for micro-enterprises.
Topics discussed included leadership, ESG approaches, methodologies and measurement systems, the challenge of technology and innovation, and social impact obligations, among others. Entrepreneurs trained in previous editions of MBA Acelera shared their experiences, and a trade fair was organized featuring products from local entrepreneurs.
Alumni Network: a community of MBA Acelera alumni
The alumni network is the solution for providing sustainable follow-up and support to entrepreneurs once they have completed the ACTEC MBA. Through this network, they remain in contact with ACTEC and its partners, keeping them informed. Alumni is a space for personal and professional expansion: expanding their network of contacts, generating spontaneous alliances between entrepreneurs and managers, fostering innovation, and responding to common needs. The network promotes continuous training, access to pedagogical resources, the dissemination of best practices, the creation of spaces and meetings for self-training and exchange, etc. In addition, graduate entrepreneurs can share their experiences and knowledge, guide other entrepreneurs, and promote the continuous improvement of the program. In summary, the Alumni program invites entrepreneurs to consider and recognize themselves as social leaders within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Introducing the ACTEC ACADEMY
During the seminar in Guatemala, the ACTEC ACADEMY was presented, a space dedicated to the management and promotion of training and knowledge within the MBA Acelera network and the BSM. This academy constitutes a learning community and a key tool to realize the dream of transforming micro-enterprises through education at the level of the best Business Schools. This initiative will enable the achievement of objectives such as:
- Offer personalized training tailored to specific needs.
- Create practical and functional applicable knowledge.
- Foster collaborative learning.
- Leverage daily experiences from the ACTEC MBA for learning.
Furthermore, the quality of the training will be supervised through the evaluation of program application and methodology, student monitoring and evaluation, as well as instructor competencies.
